Our floor is already coated and it is breaking up. Does all of it have to come off?

Not always. Where the existing system is still well bonded it can be shot blasted and overcoated. Where it is delaminating it has to be removed. Often it is one in some bays and the other elsewhere, so the quote splits the building into zones rather than pricing it all the same way.

Can you deal with expansion joints and cracked slabs?

Yes. Movement joints are carried through the new floor with the correct joint detail rather than coated over, which is what causes a coating to crack along the joint line within months. Static cracks are routed, filled and leveled during preparation.

What an Industrial Floor Has to Survive

Industrial coating failures come from two places: preparation that never properly opened the concrete, and a system specified for lighter duty than the floor sees on a normal Tuesday.

Specified to the load it carries

Racking legs, loaded forklifts and dropped pallets concentrate weight into small areas. System, thickness and primer are specified to those point loads rather than to the square footage, and the specification goes into the quote in writing.

Shot blasting to an open profile

Preparation is mechanical and taken to a measured concrete surface profile matched to the system thickness. Not a chemical wash, and not a light abrasion of whatever is already down.

Built to your point loads

Racking leg loads, forklift axle weights and pallet drop heights set the build thickness. A floor under loaded racking is a different specification from the aisle beside it.

Rated for your chemistry

Where the floor sees solvents, hydraulic oil, battery acid from charging bays or aggressive clean-down agents, the system is specified against that list and its limits are stated in writing.

Slip resistance zoned, not blanket

Aggregate is graded into wash bays, ramps and walkways where it is needed and left out of areas that have to be scrubbed daily, so cleanability is not sacrificed across the whole building.

Line marking laid in, not painted on

Traffic lanes, pedestrian walkways, racking footprints and safety zones are built into the system during installation so they wear at the same rate as the floor around them.

How an Industrial Install Runs

Survey and load review. We go over slab condition and joints, review traffic weights and chemical exposure, and walk the building to work out how it can be phased.
Specification and fixed quote. You get the system, build thickness, preparation method, joint treatment and cure schedule in writing, which is what makes competing bids genuinely comparable.
Shot blasting and joint work. The slab is shot blasted, movement joints are cut and treated, and cracks, spalling and failed patch repairs are made good before coating starts.
Phased installation. Coats go down in sequence inside their recoat windows, worked across nights, weekends or bay by bay so the operation carries on around us.
Handover and warranty. We confirm return-to-service times for foot, pallet truck and forklift traffic, provide the maintenance schedule and issue the written warranty.
